A pioneer of next-generation biomedical devices, revolutionizing patient care through drug-delivery and diagnostics.

Background and Experience

Dr. Seungho Lee is a research scientist at the Langer/Traverso Labs at MIT. He earned his PhD in biomedical engineering from Seoul National University and also worked at Seoul National University Hospital. His doctoral research focused on the developing novel battery-less implantable systems for treating diabetes and obesity.

At the Langer/Traverso Labs, Seungho is working on designing and developing next-generation biomedical devices, such as smart capsules and implants that enable controlled drug delivery and diagnostics.

With one-time implantation or administration, these systems can replace frequent injections and repeated oral administration. Therefore, they can significantly improve patient compliance and medication adherence.

He is passionate about not only inventing new technologies, but also bringing them to the market via commercialization.
